The red Panda is slightly larger than a domestic cat with a bear like body and thick russet fur.
A red pandas long, woolly tail helps to keep it steady as it walks aling ledges and tree branches.
Red pandas don’t hibernate through the winter, so their thick fur and bushy tails also provide protection from the cold and other harsh weather conditions.
These animals spend mist of their lives in trees and even sleep aloft. They are most active at night as well as gloaming hours of dusk and dawn.
The red panda is NOT related to the Giant Panda
